The State Committee on Womens Issues was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on January 14, 1998.The need for a comprehensive solution of family and childrens problems in connection with womens problems conditioned the organization of a single state administration body.
In this regard, the State Committee on Family, Women and Childrens Problems was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 6, 2006.The State Committee on Family, Women and Childrens Problems of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a central executive authority that implements state policy and regulation in the field of family, womens and childrens problems.
